I am a born and raised Calgarian who escapes to the mountains as much as possible. I rock climb, splitboard, ice and mixed climb, and ski, as much as I can while working full time in Calgary during the week.
The name of the blog came from an off-handed remark by a friend who said I was a “Mountain Gypsy” because I was always in the mountains, roaming around to different locations and meeting up with whoever was psyched on getting out!
